Solovair is a brand of British-made boots established in 1881.The NPS factory is based in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, an area known for its shoe industry.

Proud manufacturers Solovair continue to combine over a century of craftsmanship and technological progress to maintain an authentic start-to-finish handmade quality. Founded as a worker’s cooperative making UK Army boots, their reputation became legendary in the 50s with the now famous Dr Marten ‘Sole-of-Air’ boot.

Solovair shoes are known for their Goodyear welt technology and use it in all their shoe production. This particular technique is needed to fix the Solovair sole onto "Soft Sole Suspension" boots and shoes
